Welcome to the New Website
Whether you're a new visitor or a seasoned veteran who logs in everyday, we want to welcome you to the new AMCA website. The first thing that's going to jump out at you is how big, bright and user-friendly the new site is. The main reason for the upgrade is to make our website easier to use, whether you're on a desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone. The website now adjusts to meet your needs and is as easy to use on your phone as it is with a big monitor.
We've also tried to make the new site easy on your eyes. Much time and effort went into creating a look that was attractive and simple to navigate.
As you can see, most of what you need to access on this website is right on the home page. You can scroll down the page to get to the section you desire, starting with the AMCA Magazine and Club News in the top section.
Right below that, you can find out more about the Club (and if you're new to the AMCA, join online) with a link to a page that introduces you to the great benefits of AMCA membership. That's followed by our listing of Upcoming Events, which provides convenient one-touch links to the sponsoring Chapter's website for the next three events. And then comes one of our most-popular sections, the Community Forum, where AMCA members can communicate about bikes, parts, technical information and the latest developments in the antique-motorcycle world.
At the midway point of the site we've placed several more “one-click” links to hot-button sections of the website, including pages for people interested in advertising in the Club magazine, getting involved in the AMCA Judging Program, volunteering to help in a variety of ways or finding out more about who we are.
Continuing down, you reach the Membership Center, offering instant access to renewing your membership, updating your address, or buying an AMCA membership roster or calendar.
Next, you hit three must-see page links for popular AMCA features. The first is the AMCA Virtual Library, where members can download digitized copies of hundreds of rare and valuable documents related to bikes of the past. Or maybe you need a new AMCA shirt, jacket, decal, patch—the Merchandise link will take you to our online store where you can buy these and other AMCA goodies. Plus, there's a link that will give you all the information you need about the AMCA's prestigious Judging Program, including our online Judging Pre-Registration.
As you scroll down the home page (and every other page of the site) you'll always find an arrow in the bottom-right corner that will take you back to the top of that page. Go ahead, hit that button.
Back up at the top of the page, you'll find a color-coded set of pull-down menus—featuring links in four categories: About, Events, Chapters and Features. When you visit on a tablet or phone, you'll find these by clicking the familiar three-line menu link in the top-right corner. These menus will get you directly to any page on the site.
As great as the new site is, what you see right now is just the first step in a total upgrade of the AMCA's online presence. We're committed to bringing you state-of-the-art web design you can use at home, at work or on the go. For now, you'll find that our Membership Center, Virtual Library, Merchandise and Community Forum parts of the site still retain their old look. They'll be updated as this project continues.
Please take a little time to explore our new site. We've put a lot of time into making it more useful and attractive than ever. But we realize that you, our members, are the ones who will find what we have missed. If you see something that isn't working or has incorrect information, please let us know through our Contact Us page. Under the "Subject of your message," select, "Website Questions/Comments," and we'll make sure to correct the issue.
Thanks, and please enjoy your new website.
