Wolverine Chapter and Gilmore Museum

Five years ago a group of Wolverine Chapter AMCA members took on a project to assist the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, Michigan to create an inaugural Motorcycle Gallery Building.  We converted a retired maintenance building into a very attractive, well lighted  display area featuring approximately 30 vintage and antique motorcycles.  The building stands on a 90 acre campus containing 15 unique buildings housing over 400 antique and classic automobiles.  The Gilmore was voted “Michigan’s Number One Attraction for 2017”

But now it’s time to freshen up the Motorcycle Gallery with some fresh display items.  We are looking for some replacement consignments for the April 1, 2018 opening of the Motorcycle Gallery to replace some of the original units.  While the public open season of the building runs from April 1 thru November 30, the building is heated year around for the protection of the displays.  A museum docent is on duty in the display during all public hours and the building is locked during off hours.

If you know of one or more antique, vintage or unique bikes that are not being appreciated by our public, but would like to join a safe and secure place in public exposure, please contact me with details.

I would also encourage you to Google “” for a better understanding of this exceptional venue.
