Flathead (Harley 45) Valve Seat Replacement

I have used oversized valves and cut new oversized seats, in Flathead cylinders. But, I really prefer to use stock valves in stock engines. I don't build high performance engines. Just stock. Where is a good source of information/specifications on what safe-sized seats can be used in these cylinders, and sources. Thanks. Really good information here.

Rowe valves and guides can handle your needs for valve seats. I will have my son post a phone # or e3lse you can get his # by calling 1-800-555-1212. If he can't help you try your local automotive machine shop, but tell them you want the vave seats to be compatable with cast iron and you will want the counterbores cut to a .004-.006 interferance fit.
