Davenport Meet - Construction Update

Update on the Chief Blackhawk Web site
prior to the meet.

3 of our 5 bridges are currently under contruction (nice planing!),
Locust street west of the meet is closed (the street is being torn
out and widened), Downtown Davenport around the gambling boats has
new building construction going on that slow traffic.

If you can avoid I-74 bridge, the Government (Rock Island aresenal),
and the Centenial Bridge (formerly the toll bridge), and use 280 and
80 Interstate Bridges. If you use I-74, it's usually best to arrive
at night. During the day, it can be ugly.

For those of you who like to exist 280 at Locust street, you will now
need to take River Drive exit or Kimberly Road. Kimberly Road is the
best choice for those going directly to the meet first (not stoping
at a hotel).

Directions to the fairgrounds...can someone give us detailed directions from the highway, Kimberly Road to ??? to Locust, which way on Locust ??? It would help out the ones who are not familiar with the area, thanks.

Yeah, I am going over these construction problems and looking for maps and wondering the same thing.
