Default Time to check for air leaks

After reading a lot of posts on hard starting Chiefs when hot. Appears manifold leaks are a good place to start. I better hook up my manifold air supply adapter, and do a leak check. When I did this a few years ago I got information from someone who advised me to use hi temp copper silicone on the fittings. After this I had no leaks. Things may have changed since I did this. Maybe I can start riding my Chief again. Still would like an electric starter. Stan

    My suspicion, Stan,..

Is that your assembly would have sealed without the goober.

I use P4gas to remove silicones quickly.
