    Default Front forks HD1929 J

    Hello to everyone.

I am new here and I would like to ask you, if you can recommend me of someone who can rebuild my front forks from 1929 J?

The old ones are broken and several times cracked.

    Many thanks for help.

I'll plug Bob Luland for the front tubes. While not cheap it was worth it. Good Old Motorcycle Parts Co.

You may be better off hunting for another rear fork, they are not that crazy expensive even on Ebay (compared to big twin forks). I'm not aware of anybody selling new fork legs only. WW cycles has a full repop fork as well.

    Good Luck!

Hopefully BoB Luland can tackle em'--they look pretty rough Daniel. Or, a long shot is the upcoming Aussie Auction. There are many J/JD fork combo's listed.

Thank you very much Will! At WW cycles, it looks like nice plan B. I was looking there and they have really nice things! But little bit expensive :-/

First I will try find some old one in good condition on eBay.

    Many thanks Will!

Thanks for the plug guys! Dan, I'm not hat bad. Unless the fork castings are covered in braze. I get a flat $500 clams including the tubes plus shipping. The reinforcement tubes somebody put on there are not a problem. We also fix the rear fork if ya need it. Bob L
