I've recently got my XLCH refurb up and running.On a shake down run gas seeped past the replica gas cap seal damaging the finish on the black stripe.My local painter used a rock guard type finish which was not an original finish but it looked good.Problem is it proved quickly to not be fuel proof.Stripe redo is now a necessity.I'm reaching out to members for a more correct and durable finish that will stand the test of time for a bike that will see street use regularly.Thanks in advance for sharing your experience to help me shorten this learning curve.Peter
