    Another thing that I just found is the valve stem holes on the rims are on different sides. The rear rim was laced backwards, with the valve stem on the brake side and the front one is correct with the stem on the star side. These look like Ted's wheels.

    I forgot to mention how much fun it was to install the fat Maxxis MT-90 16 on this machine. It probably took me a couple of hours trying different ways to install it. First with the backing plate attached to the frame. Then wrestling the whole brake assy. mounted to the wheel and so on. I knew that it had to go on, because it's what came off this bike. I NEVER had this problem with the good old 500x16 or even the later 510x16 tires.
