    Default Early Harley single cylinder

    Hi
    Can anyone tell me what year/model used this extra lock nut on inntake housing? Can not find it anywhere.

    Not original. early modification.

    That intake valve housing sure looks well made and un-modified.
    Could it be a competition item to guarantee that the housing didn't work loose in a race?
    I know that later teens and twenties factory race models have lots of experimental bits, specially in the cylinder and intake area.

    Could have been an aftermarket upgrade from the day. Darn good idea; to bad H-D didn't do something like that.

    Hi, thank you for your reply. It looks to me its a very well made part, and fits nice. I think i will use it as is.
    Does anyone have pictures of an original cam gear and contact box to a early battery single?
    I dont have this parts, and cant find any good pictures.
