Default '55 fl dash base attachment

I've been trying unsuccessfully to find out for sure what the correct hardware and finish consists of for the three dash base fasteners on a '55 model. The parts book doesn't help and pictures with enough detail are hard to find.If anyone can help me clear this up it would be greatly appreciated.

How about the hardware type? The parts book shows a screw and flat washer but the # is a bolt.I was thinking it should be a hex head bolt and ext. tooth washer?

My book shows 47-49 using a sloted stove screw. 50 and up a hexagon bolt#3952 and washer #6299. What until you see this washer. The first thing that will enter your brain is what was the factory thinking. Bob

OK-I was not sure if that washer was an error in the book because every dash base I have shows tooth marks from an ext. tooth lock washer.Maybe a result a things that happen over the years. -Thanks Bob!

I agree with you that it should be a int tooth lock washer. I asked Cleat At Old Dude about this and he insisted that it is that little flat washer. I know the late parts books 60 up show it as a lock washer. Throw some blue Lock-Tite on it and say goodnight. Bob
