Didn't meet reserve the last time, I ask if they had the mag as I didn't see it in the pictures and they said they did have it. Bosch? Check out the shift lever.....
I didn't see the magneto in the pictures. Seems like that would be an important component.
never heard of a vmg,but i read about the umg police bike that dale has in the club mag,is the vmg a special order machine? like police ect..
just seeking more education...
It should be a Magneto/Generator. Not simply a magneto.

Yes 118 of these VMG models were built in 1936 and the stacked magneto/generator is seriously hard to find. They have a blind casting in the cam cover over the number one cam, as the circuit breaker was not used. The idler gear post is moved, as on the 1930 VMG models, to make room for a second gear to drive the mag/gen. Presumably, like the UMG, they were built to try and get Police bike contracts from forces previously using Indians. That may be why we occasionally see right shift VL tanks with a second dummy filler to fix the position of the shifter gate. They would also need the controls reversed with left hand spirals. These parts have 1935 part numbers.
