Richard Morris has several of them, I have been lucky enough to go ridding with him when he was on Reading Standards several times. They are neat machines and his perform quite well, was ridding with him around Palos Verdes last weekend and he was on a 20 Big X. Also a neat machine, fun to ride beside :-) That X was one of the machines that got stolen and he got back!

After he paid the ransom on it. In fact that was the second time that bike was stolen and ransom paid.

I feel for you guys down there. I know bikes go missing all over but California has had more than it's share of thefts it seems.

this machine was listed previously as a model 1917 by Yesterdays.nl

    http://www.yesterdays.nl/reading-sta...00-p-2313.html

Does someone know the relation enginenumbers/year of the Reading Standard?

I'm looking for parts like a rear hub and clutch/gear handles etc for a 1917. Any offers?
