A friend of mine just bought a '59 panhead in HiFi Red color code 9860*-BF .
Does anybody know where we can get paint in this color or a modern paint code for HiFi Red?
thanks,

Hi Fi Red was a gold base coat with candy red clear over it. No modern formula for it. There are guys who supply obsolete H-D paint.

I believe that the Hi Fi Red, like all of the Hi Fi colors used a silver base coat, not gold as Chris suggests. One word of caution is that the Hi Fi Red that is supplied by Antique Cycle Supply actually is much more Crimson that is the actual HD Hi Fi Red. I have seen three bikes painted with their paint and all suffer from the same off color. Hopes this helps. Dave
No worries as they no longer exist!!One word of caution is that the Hi Fi Red that is supplied by Antique Cycle Supply actually is much more Crimson that is the actual HD Hi Fi Red.
