Surprised no responces, I would say 50 wt well work fine for both. Thats what I am using in my 25 Scouts, good luck with your Chief.

I'm running a Greer clutch in my 24 Chief w/ sidecar and I use 20-50 oil, as reccomended with the new clutch. If you're running the old plates, use a 30 Wt oil as they tend to drag and hang up. If you're going to ride much, I would suggest a Greer or King Clutch, light years ahead of the original and it saves your gears too!

I fully agree with Gene's response, however, I use NON-Detergent 30wt if the original clutch is still in use. I really like the modern Greer clutch. They can handle straight 50wt, and it doesn't have to be Non-Detergent with the modern material.
