    Default Ignition Switch Wiring

Can anyone tell me where to find the wiring for the ignition switch on my 1947 Indian? I need to find which terminals are switched on when the switch is turned on and stay on when the lights are on. I am also wondering where the best spot for a fuse would be. Thanks......Dave

You've seen the Virtual Library on this site? You can download the Repair and Overhaul Manual (free to members) and that has some good information for you, but not everything of course! (Sorry if you already knew that!)

    Dave,

This diagram is a universal one for '38 and later. If it's not the same as your switch let me know. I have other diagrams.
