    Default Oley

Cold, windy but worth it. Goooooooo
Vendors I spoke to said attendance was up. We parked all the way back to the cemetery, lot was packed. Picked up my paint work for my 39EL, not many knucks but lots of Hendersons. Theme was Cafe bikes, heard 1 guy say Cafe stands for "race bikes for sissys" but I saw some pretty manly ones.

The meet was flat out rocking. Tons of stuff, weather was fine, bikes everywhere, people everywhere and we had a freakin blast. We also partied hard with a bunch of dudes into the wee hours and laughed are as$es off. And Loydybro and Tim and Jim and Bob and everyone else that was great! And bob your son Parker is aces. Great job in raising such a gentleman! And thanks to the chapter for all their great work! Anthony.

I have to agree. The weather was great on Saturday, the rain held off and it looks like there was a great turn out. Lots of great bikes. Didn't find what I went there to get but did pick up a few things I should need in the future. Looking forward to taking in Denton NC in a few weeks, I've never been there but it looks like a great venue.

Yes, I would agree. The weather was a bit on the chilly side, but the meet was very good. Thanks Joe, for the lunch and the good visit. Denise

Time to report in! As you all know here I’m not one to mix words, so I’ll lay out Oley the way I saw it. Fantastic! With a couple of down sides, first I’d like to thank everybody that made this weekend a blast. Anthony thanks for the complement on Parker. He’s a good kid. Thursday: Damp and cold but we kept that fire stoking straight though the weekend. Friday: Without the fire I would have left. I always prided myself on being prepared for Oley but not this time. By 2:00am it was down to 28 degrees. Parker and I froze our asses off (Stadium blankets don’t cut it). By 7:00am we were out of wood. I’m talking a quarter cord gone already. When we woke up there was a ¼” of ice one of the coolers. Then all of a sudden the sun stated rising and turned Saturday beautiful. We did great sales and meet so many new faces from the Forum here. Even what I said earlier in this post, I never would have left. I’m not a deftest. There are more things I want people going to this meet in the future to take hold of. Do not and mean do not bother going to the fire station for dinner. There was a time when the food was great but that was a long time ago. Three years ago it totally sucked and nothing has changed. One hour for BJs instant slop to be served to you but we were cold and hungry so we tolerated it. It was just too cold to take pictures and Rob and Lucy are in Chicago working a show. So there’s only one. Me! Bob L

It is time to start planning for Denton. I have 2 of the best spots in the woods payed for, but don't know my number yet because the new guy in charge can't seem to get his act together. Looks like I am not going to be able to make the trip because my wife passed yesterday morning. If I do I will only need 1/2 of a spot to park my truck with a few prime parts in it. Any one interested send me a private message & I will get back to you. Send a phone number & email address.
Bob sorry for stepping on your post but my mind is fried and this was the simple way.
I always get a lot of fun out of reading any thing you post.
Great to the point on this one.
    Your friend Jim
