Would like info on harley amf years particualy liberty editions
The parts and clothing book from Harley shows a liberty poster that could be purchased but only a partial photo of a bike. I have about 6 of the small decals that were used on the sides of the tanks. I had them for a couple of years before I saw them on a Liberty Edition Super Glide and new what they were for. I think that the bikes were painted black with a very light multi colored metalflake to add highlites. There was not a lot of flake in the paint. They then used a large liberty decal on the top of the tank and the smaller ones on each side. This is to the best of my memory but someone may recall more or correct me if I am wrong.
Thanks Jim D

I took a lot of grief for owning one - 81 Sturgis, mine atleast was a very good machine. Rode it for 24 years, mostly trouble free and dependable - made me a HD fan :-)
