Default S&S cylinder information, help needed please

I am trying to buy a new set of standard S&S/Flathead Power cylinders for my 1946 74" Knuckle through the distributer here in New Zealand.

Through the dealer , S&S keep wanting more and more information about dimensions etc, because they are classed as a special order.

I supplied the following information, based on their web site, part number 106-4892
Typical Cylinder Dimensions for 1936–’47 OHV Engines & Flathead Power® KN-Series Engines
Model Year Displacement Cylinder Bore Cylinder Length Notes
    1941-’47 74" 3 7⁄16" 5.530" No Fire Ring
    S&S then came back with,

A note regarding the special order cylinders from our product manager:
Please contact the customer and let him know that in order to maintain adequate flange thickness, the longest spigot length we can do is around 1.20 to 1.25, and that this also means we will have to machine the top of the cylinder to within .060 of the top fin.

I am really confused now. Can anyone tell me if the above table is correct for a standard 1946, 74"Knuckle, and are those spigot length and top of cylinder to top fin details ok?

I'd pull up the Flathead Power forum, http://www.sscycle.com/tech/
