    Default Splitdorf NS2 Magneto

    Hi,

Any clues to as why my Indian 101 which has done 2000 miles this year, and now after a 2 week rest has no spark? Tried all the usual checks and suspect the Magneto needs re-magnetising.

Usually an easy starter but after periods of no use was more reluctant than usual. This time I can grab the spark plug and feel a very faint tingle.

Paid big money 2 years ago to an "expert" in Germany to restore this magneto!

    regards

I live in Florida and the humidity has been a problem for my non Bosch magnetos. I've had the most trouble with Berling mags, and some trouble with Splitdorf. No problems with Bosch. I have been able to wake them up from a sedentary state by pulling out the spark plugs and windmilling the motor with the starter.
