    I found this on an e-bay auction........ I can see this "saucer track racer" term catching on and a whole slew of new billet shiney bikes running around using the title........ You saw it here first folks!!! Har..Har....

    Hi Cory, must be a UK publication/costs one penny?
    If it had ever happened,wonder what machines would have competed,Indian had impressed that year with the 1,2,3 at the TT of course.

    I do believe it is a publication from across the pond. The caption I posted at the bottom is a little fuzzy but it looks like they intended to build a boardtrack.......err.....saucertrack in Birmingham or Coventry. I'm not aware of any wooden tracks in the U.K. I do know that Brooklands was made of cement. Maybe someone from that neck of the woods can chime in? Indian certainly would have been in the running. Those crimson steeds of steel showed up just about everywhere!!!
