need info on the adjustment for the cam plunger cap screw

Let me take an educated guess ????? You try to tighten cap screw completely and shifting becomes almost impossible ??? Tighten cap screw only enough to allow ease of shifting but not too loose. Peen to set cap in position to hold it from backing back out. Paps

thank you that is what i did it just dosn't seem that the screw will stay in position

Did you use a center punch to peen a dimple or two between the cap and thread in the case ?
