    It almost looks like it was made to fit a 1940...

    It almost looks like it was made to fit a 1940 and up Harley 4 bolt 1 1/2" carburetor to 1939 and down heads which normally had a 3 bolt 1 1/4" carburetor. Neat.

    I've seen 3 original 49's with the springer...

    I've seen 3 original 49's with the springer frontend. All three had the 3 piece front fender but on the back 2 had the 3 piece rear fender and 1 had the later sargent strip rear. That is all I know....
