This is an image that a coworker let me use and is of an Indian that some member of his family had someplace in New York state back in the day.

The bike is a 1911 single speed; 100 years old this year. Pretty damn cool.

It is a carbide generator to run the acetylene lamps.

sorry chris but once again you are incorrect

it is a prestolite tank not a carbide generator. a generator is smaller and opens up to insert carbide and water to generate acetylene. water dropping on the carbide creates the acetylene

this tank is sealed and you just fill with acetylene ( prestolite ). ( similar to oxy/acetylene torches )

very big difference in the two
