Buy this very rare Indian, it has to be because he saw one on "Pawn Stars".
You see all kinds of stories on e-bay. I'd be real curious on how they came up with the 20 left in the U.S. theory....

They recently reran the episode of Pawn Stars where the kid bought one and had it restored, because he always wanted an Indian.
The guy that did the restoration told the pawn shop that it one of only 20 in the US. He also told them it was worth about $7,000 after it was restored. Of course, that was after they paid $1,500 to buy it and he charged them $4,500 to restore it.
Immediately after the show originally ran, eBay was flooded with those minibikes, and the owners all wanted a boatload of money for them. If there are only 20 in the US, I'm pretty sure all of them have been offered for sale since that show aired.
A couple days ago, there were 3 or 4 being offered on eBay. The only one getting any bids had a sidecar: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1970s-Mini-Mini-INDIAN-w-Sidecar-easy-project-/290460319074?pt=US_motorcycles

Was one on Craigslist here a few weeks ago for $3200.00. I couldn't believe it.

I have had a '69 mini with factory sidecar for 22 years and a few people have ask me about the value after seeing the Pawn Stars. I told them $600-800 and they couldn't believe it so I told them to look on eBay where there was a couple for sale. Them Pawn Stars really got ripped off by the restoration guy.....he's the real star!
