Here's a pretty good description of the 1905 models. Go to the late
April issue.

The America is my favorite! It has a steering wheel, how could you go wrong with a steering wheel?
Crap! I gotta figure out a way around this google book thing. When I click on the link I only get the "snippet" view!

I can't find it, but "late April" suggests the fenderless H-D with white tires photo that Earl orig. found. Is that photo there?

Here's some help with the Google digitized books. Part of it from a previous posting that I made.
The "Motorcycle Illustrated" magazines that have been digitized and are available at no cost from Google. They can be downloaded and viewed as a temporary file or downloaded as a pdf file to your own computer. Just go to Google and type in "1908 motorcycle illustrated". Look for "Motorcycle Illustrated" - Google Books Result" as noted in the example below. Then click on the "Motorcycle Illustrated - Google Book Result". It will take you to the respective digitized copy of Motorcycle Illustrated. Then click on pdf in the upper right corner and save it to your computer. Do the same for the other years that are available. One can download the following files: 1908 (Jan-Dec), 1909 (Jan-June), 1909 (July-Dec), 1910 (Jan-June). For best printing, download the pdf file to a folder on your computer, then click on the pdf file at your leisure to read or print.

The magazines are really great reading and a great source of early historical motorcycle information. The only complete copies of Motorcycle Illustrated that I have found that are digitized by Google are the ones noted above. There are snippets of later years, but they are only snippets.
Also, you can try these links for the Google digitized copies of Motorcycle Illustrated:

Good Luck! Okay? :)

Yes, that's the one.
Located in the April 29, 1905 issue of Automobile Review.
That's the photo that you and I refer to as AR42905.
And because Automobile Review became Motor Way shortly afterwards, we've also referred to that photo as MW42905.
