Magneto on a Scout

Newbie to the group so hello.

Picked up a half done '41 SS bitsa this year. It has an Edison Mag on it. I see a lever on the mag and was thinking it might be some type of cut out or a spark advance but not sure. Anyone running a Mag and can give me a hint?

yep, the lever should be the spark advance. I think I may have a 641 carb laying around.

red fred the carb that came with my 42 scout has 641 stamped on it with a 1 stamped just to the right of the 641 do you know if this is right for 42 thanks t-bone
