Who repairs intake nipple threads on flathead cylinders?

Dan!

Since no one is willing to assist, you are probably considering the operation yourself.

There are some observations you may find useful at http://virtualindian.org/11techleaktest.html

The cam-shaped riveting anvil is best held in a vise; The wrench is only for in-chassis attempts.

Good luck, as it can be very frustrating.

I guess I wasn't specific enough in my post. My apologies. It's a 40 WLD rear cylinder. It appears the previous owner just removed the rivet and wrenched out the old nipple which bunged the threads in the cylinder itself. Now a new nipple is a loose fit. Does anyone make an oversize nipple or can the threads be repaired to accept the stock nipple?

Dan!

The model doesn't matter, they are removed and installed the same.

Anyone with a lathe can make an oversized nipple...
There are two very experienced individuals who monitor this forum that I would endorse, but like all who excel in their field, they are probably booked solid with established accounts..
