It's about time to put new tires on my 34VLD. I'm not happy with the Coker tires that I have been using. I would like to mount modern manufacture tires as I put a LOT of miles on the old bike.
Has anyone had any experience using Dunlop tires on a VL? Dunlop's catalog lists a K81/TT100 in size 4.10H19 (Part# 4206-54) which appears to have a nice thred pattern. Any insight on Dunlops or other brands would be appreciated.

Thanks, Ollie

OLLIE....

I have a 1928 J Model HD. It has VL rims laced to the hubs.
I mounted AVON 400 x 19 65S tires. They fit well and have
a period look to the tread.

I can't say how well they hold up, because it won't be on the road till spring 2007

Ollie,

What did you ever decide to go with on your VL the dunlops or the Avons

Chuck: I'm going with the Avons. Not that I need speed rated tires for my VL, but unlike the Cokers, they should at least be round when inflated..... Ollie.
