how hard is it to come across a 38 indian frame?

and i'm also wondering what other years will interchange? i'm not building a numbers matching all n.o.s original parts bike....just trying to build something that looks as close to a 38 as possible. any info or suggestions would be appreciated. thanks

39 is the same. 37 is close (no dash mount). 40 and up is completely different. 36 and down are similar but probably not close enough ... Perry

I don't really follow Chief stuff closely so have no idea what the prices might be. These folks:

A buddy this year paid $1600.00 for a very nice 38' frame, found on ebay. :)

There is a rigid Chief frame on E-Bay right now. Looks pretty decent. See if that is what you're looking for.
